Of the development zone, 3450 hectares are in Rangpur locale, 8000 hectares in Dinajpur, 4000 hectares in Thakurgaon, 900 hectares in Panchagarh, 600 hectares in Kurigram, 550 hectares in Nilphamari, 500 hectares in Lalmonirhat, and 460 hectares in Gaibandha region.


This year, focus of yield is 1.55 lakh tons, which was 1.50 lakh tonneas a year ago, educated the sources.
