Mango agriculturists in eight regions of Rangpur division are cheerful of guard yield this year as the plantations are enhanced with groups of blooms and rising natural products in the midst of ideal climate winning in the area.

This year 18,460 hectares of area have been brought under business mango development in Rangpur division while it was 18,000 hectares a year ago, said sources in the territorial office of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) in Rangpur.

Of the development zone, 3450 hectares are in Rangpur locale, 8000 hectares in Dinajpur, 4000 hectares in Thakurgaon, 900 hectares in Panchagarh, 600 hectares in Kurigram, 550 hectares in Nilphamari, 500 hectares in Lalmonirhat, and 460 hectares in Gaibandha region.
